My community is located in the United Kingdom so I am alone here in this country which faces a lot of insecurity and danger. Today I have been suffering from a terrible depression due to my loneliness. My family is in Canada and USA, so now you can understand why I am feeling like this. I prayed the nice prayer above to feel encouragement- Thank you very much.

A letter to a friend

Many things in life change...people, work, friendship, family.

Life on this earth has a transitory nature.

People come and go in our lives.

We may move from one place to another or switch jobs.

We learn to protect ourselves from such changes;

so we tend to erect walls that keep others from hurting us.

We try to build stability and safety into our lives, in the midst of this violent and rapid-changing world.

But one thing never changes, and that is God.

God is always there, faithful, true, available, committed to us.

"For there stood by me this night, an angel of the God to whom I belong and whom I serve, saying,

'Do not be afraid, You must be brought before Caesar.'" (Acts 27:23)

Paul declared the God whom he belonged, whom he served.

Our God is the never-changing God, who cannot betray our trust in Him.

We can count on God.

He is the one sure thing in our constantly shifting lives, the still point in a turning world.

He is the foundation of our existence...the Rock upon which we stand.

So the Lord is saying to you...

Trust in the Lord in everything....whatever the situations, whatever happens, whatever you're doing.

In Christianity, nothing is smooth going.

Everyone will face loneliness in life.

The difference is how we accept it and deal with it.

People come and go.

Everyday, babies are born, and everyday people die.

In a moment, our loved ones can be gone; our friends can turn their backs on us.

Nothing is certain. Everything is uncertain.

But one thing is certain...

Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever.

Even before you were born, He knows your name.

He is a God who truly cares deeply about you.

Ask the Lord to reveal Himself to you.

Talk to Him about the things deep in your heart.

Treat Him as your friend you can trust, not just a God you cannot reach out to.

In your everyday life, Jesus is always there to protect you,

always there to guide you when you need Him.

Seek Him for guidance;

seek Him for answers to your questions.

And before you make any decision, first think about God,

and how you can serve Him

with your life to the fullness.

We pray the Lord's prayer..."Hallowed be Thy name.".

That is the name of God is the same yesterday, taday and forever.

God is faithful to those whom He loves. He has committed Himself to be loyal to us no matter what.

He has pledged to love us and protect us. This is what the bible calls a covenant...a promise offered to us by God.

The name of God is always faithful to His Word. His love is the rock-bottom reality,

upon which everything else in our lives can be based upon.

When we pray, we want answers, but God wants our hearts.

He wants to speak to us, to touch us, to hold us close.

He says...I'm with you.I love you. I want to walk with you. I want to teach you My ways.

He was there when you first walked as a child.

He was there when you go through fears and disappointments.

"Even when we are too weak to have any faith left, God remains faithful to us...

and He will always carry out His promises to us."   (2Timothy 2:13)

Seek God with a heart that wants nothing more than His will be accomplished.

We should have the confidence that God's purposes are so much larger

than all our requests, or the situations of our present needs.

God is looking for a heart that responses to His touch, His leading.

As we cry out to Him, His presence will bring understanding, strength and comfort.

If God did not spare His Son from the agony of soul,

then we would not expect God to spare us from the cost of being His disciple.

"In the days of His flesh, Jesus offered up prayers and supplications, with passionate cries and tears to the Father,

and was heard because of His godly fear, and then learned obedience by the things He su's ffered,

and having been perfected, He became the authour of eternal salvation to all who obey Him." (Hebrews 5:9)

Through all this process of continual prayer, submission and obedience in the midst of suffering,

Jesus was made perfect.

Prayer in His life gave the Father the opportunity to shape Him to be the perfect and acceptable sacrifice for sin.

In the same way, prayer in our lives is purposed by God to change us, to shape us to His will and His purpose,

so that God can accomplish His redemptive work through us.

God's purpose for our lives, for our families, for our churches

is so that the world may come to know and experince God's great salvation.

People without Christ have no real place of true solution to turn to,

when things go wrong,

when the storms of life threaten great destruction,

when the whole world seems angry.

But as Christians, we know we belong to God.

God is our heritage, our protecter.

Even if the whole earth becomes our enemy,

we have the unshakeable rock of Christ to stand upon.

For we belong to God, and God belongs to us.

Through our weakness, God pours His power through us.

For we know not how we ought to pray.

Through our weakness, God makes us strong.

"for when I'm weak, then I'm strong."

"Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for Him." (Psalm 37:7)

Bring everything to God in prayer, and always be thankful especially in crisis.

Without faith, it's impossible to please God.

May the grace and mercy be multiplied unto you,

and His peace in you in Christ Jesus.
